Leo Bunnin, a third generation auto dealer, came to Ventura County in 1997 when he bought Infiniti of Ventura in the Ventura Auto Center.  Since then, according to the Ventura County Star newspaper, Bunnin has become the most dominant figure in auto sales in Ventura County.  Currently Bunnin, president and owner of the Bunnin Automotive Group, consists of five dealerships in both the Ventura Auto Center and the Oxnard Auto Center and added to that is his powerful used car superstore, CARS101 also in Oxnard.

In July of 2006, Bunnin opened his second GM Supercenter when he moved back into his original Infiniti building by opening Ventura County’s only Saturn dealership, called Saturn of Ventura. A month later he moved Bunnin of Ventura (Buick-Pontiac-GMC) right next door at 6500 Auto Center Drive.

In May 2006, Bunnin was named “Oxnard’s Man of the Year” by the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce and Oxnard Rotary for his continued “giving back” to the community and for his superior business leadership.

It was in Oxnard, Bunnin opened his first GM Supercenter by opening two dealerships in the Oxnard Auto Center.  The “Bunnin Block” of cars, trucks, and SUV’s  is made up of Bunnin Buick-Pontiac-GMC and Bunnin Cadillac right next door.  Across the 101 freeway, Bunnin also owns Southern California’s Used Car Superstore, CARS101, which sits on 23 acres and carries hundreds of pre-owned, late model automobiles.

Leo Bunnin believes in giving back to the communities he serves and by “doing the right thing” when it comes to the less fortunate.
Area Boys and Girls Clubs, St. John’s Regional Hospital Foundation, the United Way, Support For The Kids, the Boy Scouts of Ventura County and local elementary and high schools have all benefited from Bunnin’s generosity.

Earlier this year, Bunnin gave away a car in Rio Mesa High School’s  “Safe and Sober” after prom party, and helped raise record dollar amounts for both the Boy Scout’s benefit auction and Support For The Kids, “A Taste of our Town”, in which monies went directly to both organizations.

Leo Bunnin employs nearly 300 people at his dealerships.
